Biography
Dr. Sanjiv Gossain is Senior Vice President for Digital Business Europe in Cognizant. In this capacity he is responsible for helping clients transform their businesses for the digital economy and is accountable for the digital business across all practices in Europe.

This is Sanjiv’s second spell at Cognizant having re-joined the company in June 2016, after two years at CSC where he led their $2B business in UK, Ireland and Netherlands. Before CSC, Sanjiv was at Cognizant for 10 years across a number of roles. He led the rapid growth of Cognizant’s business in UK & Ireland for most of those years, with highly satisfied clients across all industry sectors. He also spent two years leading the Nordics business and a couple of years as the Global Markets Leader Telecoms and Media for Cognizant.

In his 25+ years in the IT industry Sanjiv has worked with numerous blue-chip clients in North America and Europe across multiple sectors. Sanjiv has been both an entrepreneur and a successful leader in a large systems integration firm, Cambridge Technology Partners (now Novell), where Sanjiv was the global CTO.

A computer systems engineer by background, Sanjiv grew up and was educated in England, earning BSc, MSc, and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Essex in England. He is the author of a book, “Object Modelling and Design Strategies: Tips and Techniques”, has published over 45 technical and industry articles and has presented at numerous conferences and industry events.
