The automotive industry has seen unprecedented change in the last 10 years or so. Aligned to climate change targets which has driven an increased global focus upon renewable and cleaner energy production. Some regions faster than others.
More and more car manufactures has committed themselves to an electrified future; however this doesn’t mean that all vehicles will be solely electric. Good news to the petrol heads? Focus is a balance between leading the industry in electrification and its benefits to conventional energy sources such as gasoline and diesel. Complimenting such propulsion systems with hybrid systems and plug in hybrid powertrains to compliment the portfolio.
Many countries are currently passing legislation to encourage less tailpipe emissions, especially in areas of high urban density. This places a need for manufacturers to continuously increase the efficiency of vehicles by developing greater capability from cleaner fossil fuel combustion engines. The industry needs to strive, that customers have an exciting future to look forward to for many years to come.
