Narayan Iyer is the Venture Leader for Cognizant’s Drones venture. He works closely with the Drones industry, FAA and NASA to his current Drones venture to deliver the commercial benefits from drones to various industries. He joined Cognizant in 2010 as part of its Artificial Intelligence and Analytics group. Prior to joining Cognizant, he has held executive roles building businesses focused on leveraging sophisticated analytical algorithms in forecasting, operations research, and optimization.
He is passionate about building analytical solution platform businesses. An accomplished solution and product, services and business executive with proven capabilities in product development and management, delivery and engagement management, while building SaaS and cloud solution based businesses. He has twenty plus years of outcome based implementation of transformational strategies for large and small revenue size customers.
Mr. Kranz is the Chief Pilot and Sr. Technical Architect for Cognizant Technologies Solution’s Drone Venture. Cognizant is a Fortune 200, multinational IT consulting company. Mr. Kranz is involved in business development, technology evangelism, and solution architecture in the emerging Optionally Manned (OM) and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) sector with respect to machine vision, Big Data and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Additionally he is responsible for delivering solutions, best practices, design patterns, patent applications, white papers, podcasts and journal articles as they relate to data collection, analytics and visualizations in the unmanned aircraft field.
Mr. Kranz is also a USA certificated private pilot, single engine land rated with both high performance and complex endorsements. Additionally Mr. Kranz is a USA certificated 14 CFR, part 107 commercial rated remote drone operator and RO1 commercial operator in Norway. He has over 30 years’ experience with robotics, machine vision, radar processing, target tracking and remotely operated aircraft.Back to Master Classes
