How do you tie electric fence tape together?
1. Tie and join your polywire, braid or tape. Take both ends of the break in your electric fence wire or tape and tie them together as securely as you can, leaving just over an inch or about 4 centimetres of excess wire or tape on both sides.
How many strands of electric fence does a horse need?
Commonly, one to five strands of high-tensile wire are used in a fence. For a perimeter fence, use four to five strands; fewer strands may be used for temporary cross-fences. For horses, at least one strand of these fences should be more highly visible material, as discussed earlier (Figure 4).
How do you use ElectroBraid?
Pick up the reel and begin to walk the fence line. Insert the ElectroBraid™ behind each corner post insulator. When you get to the end post, insert the ElectroBraid™ behind the end post insulator and secure it with a split bolt. Attach the tensioning device and tighten (see Tensioning ElectroBraid™ page16).
How far apart should electric fence posts be?
How to fix it: In an electric-fencing system, Derynck reccomends fence post spacing 80-100 feet apart, or about 50 posts per mile. He suggests using a “stay” – a shorter post that sits on top of the ground and holds wires up – if posts are spaced 100 ft. apart.
