Director Projects,

Olav Henriksen (born 1956) started in AkerBP as project director in january 2015.  Before this, he worked for ConocoPhillips with large developmentprojects since 1990.

Henriksen has worked on large projects as Ekofisk, Statfjord, Oseberg and Eldfisk, and has extensive experience both from Kværner Installasjon and ConocoPhillips.

Henriksen has an engineer-degree from Møre and Romstal engineeringschool.

Per Erik Holsten
Managing Director, BU Oil, Gas and Chemicals,
IA Division

Per Erik Holsten leads ABB’s Business Unit for oil, gas and chemicals in the Industrial Automation division. He started his career in ABB in 1986 as an engineer and has managed businesses of various sizes, most recently as Local Division Manager for Process Automation and Local Business Unit Manager for Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals in Norway. He was earlier Global Industry Group Manager for Chemicals, Oil and Gas in the Business Unit Industry Solutions.

He has an MBA in International Business from the University of East London and studied Engineering at South Trondelag University College in Norway.

Mads Hjelmeland
Vice President, Processing Systems

Mads Hjelmeland holds an MSc in Marine Technology with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and currently holds the position as Vice President, Processing Systems, and he’s responsible for the subsea processing business in OneSubsea.

From 2016 to 2017 Mads served as the Global Sales Director for OneSubsea’s, and prior to this he held the role as Director of Emerging Technologies within the subsea processing domain. Prior to joining OneSubsea in 2014, Mads worked with Murphy Oil in Malaysia where he held the position as Manager of Subsea Projects, which included development planning and execution of EPC projects across Murphy’s Malaysia deepwater portfolio. Before he joined Murphy Mads worked with OneSubsea where he held a variety of positions in Norway, the Middle East and Asia. His work scope focused on subsea processing technologies, with particular emphasis on subsea boosting and multiphase compression technologies.

Rune Thoresen is President of Subsea Europe and Russia & Managing Director, Norway.  Rune has 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and has had various technology, projects and management responsibilities. He previously was President Asia Pacific for Subsea Asia-Pacific, one of the Technip Group’s seven regions.  Rune began with FMC Technologies in 1995 as a Project Engineer for Subsea Control Systems.

Sturla Magnus joined Kvaerner in March 2017. He comes from the position as regional business stream director in Skanska Norway. From 2011 to 2014 Mr Magnus was project director and branch manager for the Kashagan Hook-up project; responsible for Kvaerner activities and personnel in Kazakhstan. Mr Magnus has 20 years of experience from construction projects and management in the international oil & gas-, and the construction industry in Skanska, Aker Solutions, Kvaerner, Aker Marine Contractors and AF Gruppen. He holds a M.Sc in engineering from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. He holds 27 191  shares in Kværner ASA. Mr Magnus is a Norwegian citizen.

Maria has been Chief Executive Officer of DEA Deutsche Erdoel AG since January 2018. Before joining DEA, Maria Moræus Hanssen had been working as CEO of ENGIE E&P International and Head of E&P Business Unit in the ENGIE Group in Paris for two years. We look forward to welcoming her to SSV Conference 2018!

Stuart Fitzgerald
Executive Vice President Strategy & Commercial

Stuart began his career with a specialist marine engineering consultancy, progressing to Worley Engineering in Australia and Brunei.

Stuart began his career with Subsea 7 in 1998. In 2007 Stuart was appointed as head of Sales and Marketing for Norway and Denmark, and in 2009 became Vice President for Norway. In 2014 he was appointed Vice President Sales and Marketing for the Northern Hemisphere and Life of Field business. In June 2016 Stuart was appointed Vice President Strategy and Technology for the Group which he held until he was appointed Executive Vice President Strategy and Commercial in January 2018.

Stuart has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.


Odd Arne Sjåtil
Partner and Managing Director in BCG

Odd Arne Sjåtil is a Partner and Managing Director in BCG, and dedicated to clients in upstream Oil and Gas worldwide. He joined BCG in 2005 and has been responsible for a number of assignments for E&P companies, OFS companies, investors and government mainly focused on productivity improvement and digital in Oil & Gas. In BCG he is the global topic leader for development and operations in digital in Oil & Gas.

He was co-author of the BCG publications “Alliances in Oil field services” and “Subsea’s Midlife Crisis: The Challenges and Opportunities as Subsea Oil and Gas Matures”.

Odd Arne has a Master of Science degree, Energy and Environment, from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich. He previously worked for TANDBERG as Director of Business Development.
